New York Jets to become New Jersey Jets in 2023

Unlike any other NFL team The New York Giants and The New York Jets share a stadium. That stadium is called Metlife Stadium. Metlife Stadium in located in New Jersey and always has been. So why are both teams called The "New York" Jets and Giants?

The argument is goes a little something like this. Most of the pro sports teams serve their metropolitan area, and not just the physical location of their stadium. Furthermore, NY is far more prestigious than NJ and at this point to change would be a slap in the face to far more fans that it would please or attract.
The truth is New York actually already has 3 teams. Are we forgetting the Buffalo Bills? It's time the 9 million people in the most populated state per square mile gets their just due and an NFL to paint that NJ on their helmets. Rumors has it that The NFL and owner of the Jets Woody Johnson are in talks to officially change the New York Jets to the New Jersey Jets. The stadium will not move and Jet fans will remain Jet fans. Only they will be repped in the state they actually play in. New York, you still have the Giants and the Bills, but The Jets will soon be ours. New Jersey vs Everybody.
